Sagone surf guide

Sagone is a laid-back surf spot located on the northwest coast of Corsica. This area is known for its beautiful beaches and welcoming vibe, making it a popular destination for surfers of various levels. The town offers a range of camping options and has all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay by the sea.

The surf here is mainly a right pointbreak on the north side of the town beach, especially when the strong Mistral winds pick up. It handles swell sizes of about 2 ft (0.6 m) and works best with northwest swells, but you can also catch some fun waves with southwest swells. The waves tend to break over sand, which is pleasant for surfers. Whether you’re an intermediate surfer, it’s a good spot to catch easy rollers at low, mid, or high tides. If you venture south to the peaks of La Liscia, expect something a bit more powerful with a sucky shorebreak that directly faces northwest.

If you're looking for more options, there's a rocky surf spot off the marina at Cargese for those who want a change of pace. Further north, you can find an easy beachbreak in Arone. With these various options, Sagone and the surrounding areas keep surfers entertained.
