Surf: Thick, powerful beachbreak barrels just below Big Sur. Consistent and usually well-shaped creek-mouth sandbars; can be good at any tide, but medium-high is best. Blows out and closes out readily, making it a summer, smaller swell location. Environment: Scant parking along the road above the beach, follow trail (obscure) down to the beach. Sometimes crowded.
