Secret Right is a surf spot located round the cape, known for its big, open barrels. This wave is best when it’s got a good Northwest or Southwest swell. You’ll definitely want to check it out during low tide, as that’s when it tends to perform the best. On a good day, riders can enjoy runs of 100 meters or more.
The wave breaks right over boulders, and it's suitable primarily for expert surfers. It handles swell sizes starting from around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and is best surfed when the swell is coming from the Northwest or Southwest. If you want the best conditions, aim for days with a North wind. The wave can work at low, mid, and high tide, but low tide is generally preferred for that solid barrel action.
Getting to Secret Right is all about the boat; there are no land access points. The surrounding area does have some other surf spots, so keep an eye out if you’re looking to explore more waves after hitting Secret Right.
