Star Tubes surf guide

Star Tubes is a surf spot located about a 10-minute paddle from Badoc Island Resort. You’ll find it in a scenic area where the waves roll in. It's mostly known for its exclusive island breaks, although the mainland breaks are open to anyone looking to catch some surf. Access to the spot is pretty simple since you can hire jetskis or outrigger boats for a smoother journey. The line-up is usually chill, so you can focus on enjoying the waves.

The surf at Star Tubes is generally for experts, as it delivers fast, walling right-hand waves that break over a shallow reef with a bottom covered in thick seaweed. The spot handles swell sizes starting from about 3 feet (0.9 meters) and can work well with North, Northwest, and Northeast swell directions. If you’re planning a session, you’ll want to hit it during mid to high tide for the best results. The ideal wind conditions come from the Southeast, so timing your surf can make a big difference.

Don’t forget that the waves break over dead coral, which can make things a bit tricky if you’re not careful. It’s a spot that rewards skill, so be prepared to put your experience to the test. Happy surfing!
