General: Long strand extending east from access. Good for beginner to intermediate surfers. Protected well from predominant southwest wind. Known for ruins of 14th Century Spanish Armada ship still mostly buried at the far end of the strand. Visible at very low tide. Tides: Mid to high Size: Waist to head high, any bigger it closes out. Wind: S -SW Swell: W- NW Bottom: Sand. Paddling: Close to the beach. Spot Rating: Consistent in the winter, though usually not the best shaped sandbars. Good staple spot when the wind is SW.

Beginner to intermediate.

Park in lot then walk over dunes via access trail.

Autumn, Winter and Spring are best as it needs a good swell to break.

Crowd Factor: Becoming more popular but large beach with peaks all the way down. Local Vibe: Mellow crowd. Plenty of room here.

Some agricultural runoff at the far end of the strand by the river. But generally very good.

Rips as it gets bigger.
