Overview
Suppå is a fun, easy left tucked into the north side of the bay. Because of where it sits, it often runs a touch bigger than the nearby spots, and the wave peels over a mix of boulders and sand. When a decent-period swell arrives, a rare but powerful right can show up here too.
When It Works
The left is a reef break that draws swell from southwest to northwest (SW-NW), with west (W) the best direction. It works from 1.2 m / 4 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. Consistency is only medium, so it won't be breaking every day, but it's worth keeping an eye on when the swell lines up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast (SE) offshore wind. Suppå can break across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow left is a good fit for beginners. The lineup rarely gets crowded, and you're less likely to get dropped in on here than at most of the other spots along Jæren's North Shore.
