General: Just south of the San Onofre Power Plant is Trails, basic beachbreaks that are generally uncrowded and can get good and punchy when there's a combo of SSW and WNW swells running. Tides: Medium-low to medium-high Size: shoulder high to double overhead Wind: E, NE Swell: S, SW, W, NW, combo of swells Bottom: Sand, gravel Paddling: Average most days but can be a lot of work when it is pumping. Spot Rating: Pretty average beachbreak most of the time. Especially when compared to the nearby waves at Trestles.

Beginner to intermediate

Exit Basilone and head south until you reach the State Park gate, then pick your trail.

January-December

Crowd Factor: Pretty empty. Local Vibe: Non-existent.

Typically ok but gets dicey after a rain.

Juvenile white sharks, the occasional nudist, although CA State Parks have made it illegal.
