Vazon Bay - Beach surf guide

Vazon Bay - Beach is located in the north part of the bay and offers a mellow vibe, making it a great spot for those just starting out in surfing. The beach has a relaxed atmosphere where surfers can enjoy their time on the water without feeling overwhelmed. It’s a nice spot to hang out, catch some waves, or just chill on the sand.

The surf here is beginner-friendly, especially with the beach break that often delivers rights and lefts. The ideal swell direction is from the Northwest, but it can also handle swells coming from the SouthWest and NorthEast. You can generally expect the waves to be rideable in sizes around 1ft (0.3 meters) or so. The surf works best with low to mid tide but can also be okay during high tide. When the wind’s coming from the Southeast, that’s when you’ll really want to be out there.

Since the waves break over sand, it’s a safe spot for beginners to practice. The beach is spacious, allowing for plenty of room to spread out, and while it might not be the most epic spot, it's definitely solid for new surfers trying to get their feet wet.
