Surf: The northernmost "out island" in the Bahamas, Abaco is actually a collection of islands but the 10km (6.5mi) long Elbow Cay seems to hold all the popular spots. A way to escape the Elbow Cay ‘scene’ is to head to Willawahs on the main beach of Guana Cay, where a sandy, flat reef shapes small swell peaks for all abilities. Check the peak off the end of NW Guana Cay. Environment: Easy access and scattered flat but sharp reef to avoid.
