Amouli is a surf spot that features a long, high tide, left-hand point-style reef. It's located near a thin channel where you can also find some right-hand waves. The area is easy to check out from the road, making it accessible for surfers looking for their next session. However, keep in mind that it requires a fairly long paddle to get to the break.
This spot works best with a southeast swell direction, but it can also handle swells from the southwest. You'll find that it works well with swell sizes around 3 feet (0.9 meters). The waves break over live coral, offering a reef break that is fun but can be tricky. Amouli produces mainly left waves, which are good for intermediate surfers. For the best conditions, aim for a high tide and a north wind.
While Amouli isn’t the most famous surf spot, it does give you the chance to enjoy some decent waves when the conditions are right. Just be aware that, given its setup, it’s not always reliable, so conditions may vary. Enjoy your time out there!
