Bude Crooklets surf guide
Surf: General: The Victorian resort town of Bude has two beaches, Crooklets to the north and Summerleaze to the south. Crooklets is a quality low-tide beachbreak with hollow, punchy rides, but be aware of the fingers of rocks as the tides pushes in. Good rights to the northern end and lefts to the south. Busy in the summer.
Tides: Works on all tides but on a high the beach shrinks away and access trickier.
Size: Thigh high to overhead.

Swell: NW, W
Bottom: Sand and rock patches.
Paddling: Rips by rocks when swell picks up.
Spot Rating: Great fun in a clean swell, peaks are pretty consistent.
Access: There is a large car park cliff top just back from the beach.
Crowds: Crowd Factor: Large local crew.
Local Vibe: Largely tolerant.
Environment: Clean.
Hazards: Rocks.
Season: Works year round, but best in September - November.
