Cemento is a surf spot located about a 40-minute walk (or a quick 20-minute tricycle ride) from Sabang. Alternatively, you can reach it in just 10 minutes by motorboat. The place is known for its beautiful beach, where you'll find white sand mixed with seashells and crushed corals, making it a nice spot to chill when you're not catching waves.
The waves at Cemento break over a sharp coral reef, primarily offering right-handers. With the optimal swell direction coming from the Northeast, this spot can handle swell sizes of around 2 feet (about 0.6 meters). The waves work well during low, mid, and high tide, but if you prefer the best conditions, aim for those low to mid tides. The take-off is exciting, giving you a thrill as you paddle out, but keep in mind that the ride can be a bit short. It’s also worth noting that this spot is better suited for expert surfers, as the reef can get challenging at times. The wave has been nicknamed "Cobra Reef" because of its shape, resembling a snake ready to strike.
When you’re planning your session at Cemento, the best wind direction is from the Southwest, which helps keep the waves clean and rideable. This surf is often a go-to for locals, and while it may not be the most consistent spot out there, it offers some thrilling rides on the right day.
