Exmouth surf guide

Surf: General: When a huge southwesterly or westerly groundswell rolls down the channel there can be fun lefts out past the lifeboat station by the breakwaters in front of Marine Drive. Fickle, rare and often onshore - can be crazy busy when word gets out that its on. Tides: Breaks through the tides. Size: Thigh high to overhead. Wind: NE Swell: Big SW, W. Bottom: Sand with groynes. Paddling: OK unless big. Spot Rating: A rare, fun, walling left. Access: Parking on Marine Drive. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Can be an insane pack of all kinds of wavecraft from foils to inflatable SUPs. Local Vibe: Busy. Environment: Can get nasty when it rains. Hazards: Crowds, bailed boards, foils, groynes! Season: December - February as needs big swells or storms.
