Goosewing Beach surf guide

Surf: The only easy access point in the Little Compton area is Goosewing and South Shore Beach. A mixture of beach, reef, and pointbreaks are found in a large bay. Trailer Park has steep rights next to hollow beachbreaks, plus a right and left in front of a little creek runout that breaks over boulders. All tides, up to 10ft (3m). SE to SW swell. Many other reefs and pointbreaks on this peninsula (including an occasional wave up in the Sakonnet River), but access is minimal. Access: Free in winter only Environment: Pay to park on the beach in summer. Consistent with lower crowds but some current.
