Surf: On NE-E swells, Ishinamigawa (gawa means river) should have some hollow waves, spinning off the rivermouth breakwall that runs parallel to shore. Its mainly boulders and cobblestone that the river has deposited, so it's not a spot for inexperienced surfers. Environment: Punishing paddle-outs and always crowded on weekends when it works.
