Surf: The tourist magnet Manuel Antonio National Park has fun but semi-consistent beachbreak options along the 3km long Playa Espadilla but the northwest corner at Playitas holds the best waves from mid to high tide and there is also an outer reef righthander with a solid swell and a high tide. Environment: Thieves around, great place to take the girl, waves for all standards, chill locals, surf shops and ding repair are easily accessible. Bumpy back road shortcut to get there.
