Surf: Punta de Mita is the exposed northern headland of Puerto Vallarta, with great year-round swell exposure, and offshore winds. A dozen reefs dot the peninsula, including exposed Punta Mita, a fast hollow right reef that works in winter NW and summer SW. Directions: Boat access only Environment: Access can be a problem and it's a long walk where local security staff can send you packing. Alternatively there are boats from nearby villages.
