Surf: Praia Rosa has good exposure, particularly at the N end where the crowds will jockey for A-Frames with NE wind protection in most swells. Beginners will enjoy small swell rollers down the south end. Check Praia do Luz and back towards the port for less-crowded options. Environment: Handles size and a sizeable crowd, but expect some hassle on the good days.
