Seal Rocks Lighthouse Beach is a laid-back surf spot located on the picturesque coast. It's not as famous as Treachery, but it has its own charm. The beach is flanked by natural beauty and offers a escape from the busier surf spots. Be prepared for a bit of a trek to get there, which can put some surfers off, but the scenery along the way is a nice bonus.
The surf here can be fun, especially if you're a beginner looking to catch some manageable waves. The best conditions often occur with a north-east swell, and the beach handles swell sizes around 1 ft (0.3 meters) quite well. You can expect lefts and rights to break over the sandy bottom, making it a decent spot for practicing. The preferable winds come from the north, and this spot can be surfed at low, mid, or high tides, although low to mid seemed to work well most days.
Keep in mind that while there are some nice punchy peaks in each corner of the beach, the presence of a nearby seal colony can be a bit unsettling for some, as it attracts sharks. So, surf smart and keep your wits about you while enjoying the waves.
