Treachery surf guide
Surf: Quite possibly the most consistent beach on the NSW coast, Treachery is aptly named thanks to the power of the waves, the rips and the number of large sharks spotted sniffing around. Summer NE'ers are offshore and any swell will find its way in, usually a couple of feet bigger than anywhere else. The northern peak has a paddling channel, but prepare for some beatings as you drift down. Handles triple overhead faces that can barrel hard on both the outside and inside banks. Changeable through the tide, but always something to ride.
Environment: Campsite brings crowds in the holidays and even small days will challenge beginners. There's some reefs to explore further south if you like your waves sucky and mean.
