Tuason Left surf guide

Tuason Left is a surf spot located about an hour's walk from General Luna towards Cloud Nine. It's situated on Tuason Point and offers a heavy left that really highlights the powerful waves in the area. While it's a solid spot, it tends to be less crowded compared to its nearby neighbor, which can make for a more enjoyable session. Accessing the waves is a bit tricky, so be sure to use one of the channels to get over the reef safely.

This spot breaks best with a Northeast swell, handling sizes around 3ft (about 0.9 meters). The wave tends to be fast and hollow, creating a nice barrel for experienced surfers. The reef break runs left and offers a thrilling ride, especially during mid to high tide. Low tide can get a bit sketchy, so timing your session is key. On rare occasions, you might catch a right wave breaking off the point when there’s a Southeast swell, but that’s not the main feature here.

For optimal conditions, you'll want to keep an eye on the wind, as a West wind is preferred. It's a spot meant for expert surfers, so be prepared for the challenge it brings. Overall, Tuason Left can offer some great surf on the right day, but it's important to be cautious and know what you're getting into.
