Surf: This is a fun and consistent rivermouth peak that handles both shorter period NE windswell and afternoon onshores. The left is peaky, but the right offers a good bowl and open carving sections in the morning offshores. Directions: Follow the river on the E side over hard cobbles all the way to the spot. Environment: Share the line-up with fisherman on canoes and men diving for lobster. Some use their crude canoes as surf kayaks, paddling into sets with galvanised metal oars. They know the line up intimately. Anse a Foleur is a sleepy town that comes alives with buzzing weekend markets.
