Anse des Lézards surf guide
Surf: 32km (20mi) to the south of St Martin lies the French island of St. Barths. It is hard to overstate the differences between the two islands, weird given their geographical proximity. St. Martin is in many ways a typical Caribbean island, whereas St Barths oozes class, catering to expensive tastes in shopping, yachts, hotels and restaurants. With virtually no crime and intensely beautiful scenery, it is also blessed with some great waves for the fortunate few. Its coastline is irregular and has many coves and bays mostly protected by coral reefs. Anse des Lézards is a small swell, consistent reefbreak with very accessible lefts and the odd right on a N/NE swell. Other north coast reefs include a nice peak at isolated Petite Anse and a short sharp left in the corner of Flammands Beach.
Environment: Good NE exposure equals high consistency.
