Le Galion surf guide

Surf: The popular Orient Beach is protected from the swell by a coral ridge, but jetskis can take you to surrounding breaks on the islands (Pinel, Tintemarre) outside the bay. Le Gallion is paddle accessible, but there is a surf school that will boat you out there. Mainly rights but the odd sneaky left and it's easily blown-out by the trade winds. Environment: Consistent and empty most of the time and beginners will not be freaked out by the reef on small days.
