Surf: In front of the accommodation with the same name, Back Door is a proper right pointbreak, barreling over a shelf and boulders on its way to the shore, 300m away. Consistently has waves in E-S swells and doesn't capitulate if the wind is SE, with long, crumbling shoulders. Environment: A favourite with Ilhéus surfers and often used as a contest venue, thanks to its reliability and turnability. There are more sand and rock peaks heading north.
