Fernandina Beach Pier is a surf spot located in Florida. It offers access points along the high tide mark with parking lots available north and south of the condo development. The area is known for its laid-back vibe and less crowded conditions compared to nearby Main Beach.
This spot works best with a northeast swell direction, but it can also handle swells from the north and south. The waves break over sand and generally produce long lefts and rights, making it suitable for beginners. You can expect conditions to hold up from 2ft (0.6m) and above. The most favorable tide heights include low, mid, and high tides, and it's best surfed with west winds, although be cautious of some currents.
While the pier no longer stands, the spot still attracts surfers looking for a more chill experience. It's a bit less consistent than other locations, so don’t be surprised if you find smaller crowds out here. Just be mindful of the currents when you’re paddling out.
