Kingscliff surf guide

Surf: Kingscliff is shaped by the flow of the river and the jetty which both help hold in the sand and sculpt some good peaks. It's well protected from even SE winds, but too much S in the swell will see it sail straight past. The other overriding factor is the rip which hardly ever lets up. Add to the mix a Bombie peak and also the back beach leading down to Casurina, where more swell exposure and clumps of reef can turn on the goods in W-N quadrant winds. Environment: Quieter than it's neighbours unless word is out the sand is lined-up perfectly. Usual town facilities and easy parking at Kingscliff Lions or Faulks Park.
