Surf: N, NE or E swells should show somewhere on the Karikari Peninsula with Puheke and Tokerau good for wind and size options. Directions: Puwheke Beach is located on Karikari Peninsula on the east coast of Northland. From Kaitaia, head north on North Road, State Highway 1. At Awanui turn right onto State Highway 10. Turn left onto Inland Road, then left onto Waimango Road, then turn right onto Puwheke Road, down to the beach. Environment: Surf schools, SUP and kiteboarding popular around here.
