The reef is uneven, so be cautious of the shallow areas and watch out for urchins. For wind, south is the best option to keep the waves clean, making it a solid choice for intermediate surfers looking for a bit of a challenge.
Since the waves are consistent year-round, you can often find rideable conditions even when there’s a light onshore wind. Just be prepared for some localism, as it can get a bit competitive out there.
