Surf: Across the channel, La Gauche is far less consitent, but handles some SE wind and can be equally long in a S swell. Tulear itself is sheltered by offshore reefs and feels more like a huge, dusty harbour town than a resort. Environment: Like Behakio, sharks and currents are on the hazards menu.
