Surf: Coffee Bay’s main beach can produce classic waves especially in summer when winds are light from the W and there is plenty of E in the swell. Multiple peaks but the gem waves are the high tide lefts running into the river flow in the southern corner. Environment: Can get a bit packed in summer holidays, plus there is a surf school and rentals available for the newbies that are often staying in the backpackers or chilled-out campsite. Best town to be based in for exploring the coast in either direction.
