More about Pools surfspot
General: Right when you come down the hill on the Punta side of Rincon, Pools is the white sandy beach that is protected somewhat from the NE trades. It offers up a few shifty, semi-shallow reefbreak peaks and can occasionally barrel. It's not really a destination spot, but it can be a fun, quiet morning session. Tides: Not the biggest tidal changes but lower generally better. Size: Head high-overhead Wind: South Swell: NW, N, NE Bottom: Shallow reef Paddling: Not too bad. Spot Rating: Another option along the northern part of Rincon but fairly average.
