San Agustin surf guide
Surf: General: If you've flown into the Huatulco airport and you're looking to dive straight into the raw beauty and serenity of Mexico's southern Pacific Coast, then exit the airport, cross the street, and head straight for San Agustin. Located on the western flank of Parque Nacional Huatulco and a handful of bumpy track miles from the airport, this stretch of pristine coastline is the focus of Mexico's efforts at environmentally sound and sustainable tourism. There are a few bays chewed into this region's raw coastline that offer a wide range of waves, though most of them are rarely very good. San Agustin Bay is one of the better options, with a broad, exposed white-sand beach and a smattering of peaks to choose from. Check it out when a big south swell is running.
