Stellar east coast righthand pointbreak, Sandon Point is a testing, teasing ride that offers a high risk to reward ratio. The small swell fun walls are quickly replaced by muscled-up lines, throwing thick lips over the ledge, where take-offs become a leap into the unknown. Low tide and more E in the swell opens the barrels, while big S rumbles down the line with awesome power. Getting caught inside is not recommended (surfers have drowned here), but is almost guaranteed.

Locals dominate and are intolerant to those who are out of their depth or out of order. The Jetty as it is sometimes called is high consistency and absolutely always crowded.
