City Beach Groyne surf guide

Surf: Good lefts can peel off the sand piled up on the groyne and give a bit of protection from SW onshores, plus the very real option of night surfing on a clear, fullmoon night, but beware of sharks. Environment: Perth’s city beaches have seen a spate of Great White Shark attacks in recent years, including a fatality at Cottesloe.
