Little River State Beach surf guide
Surf: Rarely-surfed fetch of quirky, nondescript sandbars along the highway, only rideable when small and clean at high tide. Clam Beach and Mad River Beach are funky, sharky breaks, rarely surfed. As with all the waves in this area, small, clean, peaky windswells with high tide and east winds are ideal. If it’s good here, it’s most likely better elsewhere.
Environment: A white shark attack occurred here in August 1997 (non-fatal). Free camping allowed.
