Sue-meg is a spot located near Patrick's Point, featuring easy access off Highway 101. Just exit at Patrick's Point Drive and cruise to the park entrance. This area has a mix of surf options, mostly appealing to intermediate and expert surfers, especially during the prime seasons of autumn and winter. It's worth checking out if you're in the area, but it can get busy at times.
The waves here can handle sizes from about 5ft (1.5m) to 15ft (4.5m). At the Point, you’ll find mainly left and right point breaks over rocky bottoms, while Agate Beach has sand with a few boulders. The swell directions that work best are from the West and Northwest, with conditions often good when the wind is coming from the East to Southeast. Expect a lot of paddling, especially when the waves are overhead, so be ready for a workout.
Crowds can be a bit of an issue at Agate Beach, as it's a more popular area, though the Point generally has fewer people. Despite that, you'll still find surfers out there if the waves are looking good. The overall vibe is pretty chill, with no intense local scene to worry about.
