Vero Pier surf guide
Surf: General: After Hurricane Irene removed the bulk of it in 1999, Vero Pier has since returned, and so have the sandbars on both sides, making for a decent high tide option that is closer to shore without being shorepound.

Size: Waist-slightly overhead
Wind: WSW-SW
Swell: Any swell direction works, just needs to be strong swell.
Bottom: Sand
Paddling: Easy as it gets.
Spot Rating: This is not really a destination spot, just somewhere with easy parking making it easy to get in a quick surf.
Access: Easy, parking at Jaycee Park to the south.
Crowds: Crowd Factor: Generally not that crowded.
Local Vibe: Pretty mellow overall.
Environment: Usually very clean.
Hazards: Watch for pilings.
Season: Fall-Spring, Hurricane
