Vero Pier surf guide

Surf: General: After Hurricane Irene removed the bulk of it in 1999, Vero Pier has since returned, and so have the sandbars on both sides, making for a decent high tide option that is closer to shore without being shorepound. Tides: High Size: Waist-slightly overhead Wind: WSW-SW Swell: Any swell direction works, just needs to be strong swell. Bottom: Sand Paddling: Easy as it gets. Spot Rating: This is not really a destination spot, just somewhere with easy parking making it easy to get in a quick surf. Access: Easy, parking at Jaycee Park to the south. Crowds: Crowd Factor: Generally not that crowded. Local Vibe: Pretty mellow overall. Environment: Usually very clean. Hazards: Watch for pilings. Season: Fall-Spring, Hurricane
