Ariks surf guide

Ariks is a surf spot located at the end of a long reef that runs from Iceland and Ombak Tidur. This place needs a decent SW to W swell to really come alive, offering some fun waves. When conditions are right, surfers can expect a barrel on take-off, but the waves can back off and deliver a good ride again. On certain days, it can just be a fun wall to ride, although be cautious of the numerous coral heads that poke through at low tide. The local scene can get a bit crowded with Tua Pajet locals, particularly intermediates looking for a spot that isn't too intense.

This spot works best with a swell direction from the West and can also handle swells from the South. It generally handles swell sizes around 4 ft (1.2 m). Ariks is primarily a right-breaking reef wave, making it appealing for those who prefer that direction. The ideal wind for surfing here comes from the NorthEast, and surfers should hit the water at mid to high tide for the best experience. It's a spot suitable for intermediate surfers, so if you’re comfortable on your board, you’ll likely find it enjoyable.

Given the nature of the reef break, it’s important to be aware of the coral and the layout of the waves.
