Surf: The summer SW swells hit at the perfect angle for rapid lefthand walls provided the tide is on the high side of mid, covering the ugly coral and urchin carpeted lava. Luckily, the right is much better at low, peaking up and pitting, before shouldering off down beside the very busy boat channel into the harbour. Busy is the buzz word for this line-up and parking anywhere near the waves. Works on N swells as well. Environment: Beware of boat traffic in the channel.
