Surf: In front of the upmarket hotel strip where tourists play in the calm waters of the lagoon on all sorts of craft and surfers make the long trek by boat out to the barrier reef for energetic righthanders that rumble off the furthest point. There’s 2 sections separated by a big hole in the reef and the outside shares similarities with Nusa Dua, but the hap-hazard, rip torn peaks are even hollower. Further inside, rapid, walled rides guarantee tube-time as they suck over the shallower part of the reef. Nasty when big, it’s an advanced break and a constant paddle against the the current, which backs off at dead high.
