Dreamland surf guide

Dreamland is a surf spot located on the Bukit Peninsula, a popular area known for its tourist attractions and beautiful beaches. This spot has transformed over the years, becoming more crowded due to nearby developments like hotels and condos. While it has all the amenities you'd expect, it may feel a bit lacking in authentic charm compared to its less commercialized neighbors.

The waves at Dreamland can be decent, particularly for beginners. They work best with a south-west swell direction, but you can also catch waves from the south and west. The swell can handle sizes of around 2 feet (0.6 meters) and breaks over an uneven reef and sandy bottom. You'll find lefts and rights coming off the peak, which can be fun. When the tide is low or mid, the surf conditions are better suited for riding, while high tide tends to create fat shore breaks that can be disappointing.

It’s important to time your session well; the preferable wind direction is south-east. On days with overhead conditions, surfers can experience some barrels, but be ready for a mix of abilities in the water. With the right swell and tide, it can be a good spot to enjoy, just don’t expect it to always deliver epic conditions.
