Surf: Foot-burning black sand beachbreak that flips from low tide mushy shoulders to dredging shore-dump at high tide. Mid tide may conjure up something in-between and glassy mornings can be fun for the improvers trying to get some waves away from the crowds. The rivermouth can sculpt bars, but more likely bring river pollution to the better peaks to the south. Wont handle much above headhigh and needs some N in the wet season wind.
