La Izquierda de la Triangular is a surf spot located at the eastern end of La Salvaje beach. It’s known for a short, bowly left-hander that breaks over an uneven reef. The spot can get pretty crowded, especially during the summer months. Parking is usually alright in winter, but it can be a bit tricky and metered in the summer. This area has good beach facilities and there's space for camper vans in the winter.
The waves work best at low tide and are optimal with medium swells in the 4ft (about 1.2 meters) range. It’s a left-hand wave, primarily breaking over the reef. The best swell direction is from the west, though it can handle swells coming from the north too. If you have an experienced skill level, you’ll find this spot challenging yet rewarding, especially when the wind comes from the south.
Even if the crowd can make it a bit busy, there’s something to enjoy for skilled surfers. Just keep in mind that the take-off zone is small, so it’s best to pick your waves wisely. The surf here can be testing due to the protruding rocks, so be aware.
