Surf: One of the best, as well as one of the most beautiful, beaches in south Portugal. At low tide a long left winds off the Carrapateira cliffs below the car park and from mid-high tide the beach turns on the goods with often fast and hollow rights into the rivermouth. Environment: The left gets busy but the beach contains enough peaks to thin the crowds. Consistent but easily blown out.
