Surf: This heavy right is one of Portugal’s best-known big wave spots that can hold up to 6 metres (18ft) of shifting, powerful and hollow surf. Be careful of big clean up sets sweeping in from the west! Clean NW swells are the best, plus a big board to get in early. Environment: Surprisingly it doesn’t suffer much wind damage – or crowds!
