The waves tend to break to the right, which can be enjoyable for those looking for long rides. For the best experience, aim to surf during low tide when the waves can be more manageable. Northeast winds are preferred here, helping to clean up the bumps on the water.

Bafureira tends to be quite consistent, so there’s a good chance you’ll find waves here most days. It can get a bit crowded at times, especially when conditions are favorable, but it's typically not too hectic compared to other surf spots. Just keep in mind that it might not be the best choice during all swell sizes and directions.
