Bridges surf guide

Bridges is a well-known surf spot located in the heart of Aguadilla, right across from government buildings. It features a mix of sand and reef at the bottom, providing a unique wave experience. This right pointbreak is about 100 yards long and offers a playful, rippable vibe with multiple sections to explore. It's generally glassy, except when south winds are blowing, but be ready for a crowd since it’s a popular local spot. The crowd can be pretty heavy, especially if other nearby spots are maxed out.

The waves at Bridges work best with a northwest swell, handling sizes from about 4 to 10 feet (1.2 to 3 meters). You can expect mainly right-breaking waves, with the best conditions typically coming during autumn and winter. Lower to mid tides are usually preferable, and the ideal wind direction is from the east. It’s a good spot for intermediate surfers, and you can ride both shortboards and bodyboards out here. Just keep in mind that it needs a decent north or northwest swell to really turn on, but when it does, it's pretty fun.

Access to Bridges is easy, with parking right there. Just be prepared for the crowds; if the waves are good, you’ll likely share the lineup with plenty of other surfers. Late summer and fall can bring tropical cyclones, but for consistent swells, late fall through early spring is your best bet. So, grab your board and be ready to catch some waves!
