Surf: The jetties are consistent, but the access isn’t. Around New York Blvd in Sea Girt is the most popular area. Accepts a full north New Jersey swell window and can work well on any direction. High tide doesn’t do this stretch any favors, but with a W wind and a head-high swell, there will be some barrels. Access: Free in winter only Environment: Hazardous old stormwater drains lurk in the line-up. Often crowded, tags, and a rotating designated surfing area.
