Jenkinson's surf guide
Surf: General: On the other side of Manasquan Inlet, Jenks is a well-known peaky and wedgy wave that ledges and winds along the beach on solid NE and E swells. Currents and crowds can be dangerous at Jenkinson's, so be wary.
Tides: Can work on any tide, depends on the swell
Size: Shoulder high-well overhead
Wind: W to WNW
Swell: ESE, E, ENE
Bottom: Sand
Paddling: Usually a short paddle.
Spot Rating: On the right day it can be a barrel fest but somewhat fickle.
Access: Pay parking available, limited street parking.
Crowds: Crowd Factor: Pretty heavy when it's breaking.
Local Vibe: Heavy on the right type of swell.
Environment: Pretty clean overall.
Hazards: The jetty, crowds, parking, summer tourists.
